Program Description:







Intensive Japanese language study and the opportunity to choose from a broad spectrum of social sciences and humanities courses on premodern and contemporary Japan.
Courses that integrate the historical and cultural resources of Kyoto into the curriculum through excursions, field trips, and guest lectures.
Living with a Japanese family, taking classes with Japanese students, and participating in a wide array of extracurricular activities outside of the KCJS.
Full-time on-site staff to assist students with academics.

Eligibility:
Min GPA 3.0; 4 semesters of Japanese with 3.0 GPA in language. Basic course in history of Japanese civilization strongly recommended
